We have a great opportunity for a Technical Manager with mechanical bias based in East London. If you are looking to work for a successful company on a high profile contract this could be the role for you:

This FM provider have recently gone from strength to strength and have won a number of high profile contracts in London and the surrounding areas.

They are now looking for a Technical Manager to be predominantly office based, in East London, close to Victoria docks.

  • Salary £55,000 - £60,000pa

The Role

You will oversee the compliance for a large high profile contract in London which will include overseeing the Gas, AC and Fire teams, providing technical support and making sure they are technically compliant. There is some work to do to get things up to date, so you’ll be required to do initial asset survey and build up an asset register to ensure full compliance with annual maintenance plans. Experience with labour and cost control is also essential. You will be roughly 50% office based with the rest of your time spent travelling to site across London. Hours are 8 – 5, but some flexibility will be required in order to fit client/business needs.

You must have the following in order to be considered for this role:

  • Relevant engineering qualifications NVQ/City & Guilds (ideally mechanical)
  • Relevant Health and safety qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS etc.
  • Previous experience of managing statutory compliance of contracts within an facilities management capacity
  • You will be required to undertake and pass a full police clearance check

The Ideal Candidate

You will have good communication skills and strong leadership qualities with a good all round knowledge of project management applications.

You will also have strong commercial acumen and understanding of the industry and market trends

You’ll be proactive and have the gravitas to really make people stand up and listen

It is important you have strong relationship building skills in order for you to develop and retain good working relationships with both colleagues and clients alike
