We are currently recruiting for a very well established company that we have had a brilliant working relationship with for 5 years. This is a company that puts a lot of emphasis on giving their employees all the tools and power to deal with issues head on. The engineers that we have placed with them previously have told us how much they appreciate the opportunities they have been given to develop and progress their skills.
The role will be based out of the Wakefield contract, but you will be covering from Sheffield to north Yorkshire. It will be your job to manage a high performing team of engineers on a daily basis. This will include managing resources to maximize productivity and efficiency, planning effectively in order to coordinate routine activities, all whilst keeping your team highly motivated to achieve goals. You will be in direct contact with the client and as thus will have the power and control to deal with problems as they arise, this means you won’t have to pass issues along the line and can actually take challenges into your own hands and will be given the necessary support to overcome them.
You will need:
- Formal technical qualification, such as NVQ, City and Guilds within trade background
- Supervisory training: CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or SMSTS
- First Aid
- Asbestos Awareness
- CSCS Card – Supervisor
- Full UK driving licence
There will be two direct voids teams as well as further sub-contractors to manage, so you will need to have good productivity management and health and safety management for both direct teams as well as sub contractors. You will have to work to tight KPIs and ensuring jobs are completed on time will be a crucial part of the role, so you must be an organised and process driven individual.
