The Role - Maintenance Joiner
Working within a team, as an experienced Joiner, you will be carrying out joinery reactive repairs and maintenance throughout the Yorkshire.
There will be various contracts throughout this area you will cover but all of them will be social housing, usually working alone
Liaising with clients and ensuring all worked carried out is done to the highest standards ensuring Health & Safety is adhered to at all times
There is opportunity for overtime for those that want it but there is no strict call out rota to adhere to
The Ideal Candidate - Experienced and dedicated Joiner
You will have experience within an FM or building services environment carrying out planned and reactive maintenance as a joiner and ideally have a joinery related qualification, and can demonstrate several years experience working as a joiner working in domestic/social housing and can demonstrate an understanding of what working with domestic and social housing clients involves
This is a fast paced environment so experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines will hold you in good stead
A good working knowledge of health & safety with a flexible approach to work would fit this role
- NVQ3 in carpentry or equivalent
- Competency in another trade such as plumbing
- CSCS Card
- Asbestos Awareness
- Full UK Driving Licence
You will also display a high knowledge and understanding of the sector and it is essential you must pass a DBS Check due to the nature of the work
