Thorn Baker are working with a 5-star house builder who manufacture their own timber frames.  As a result of recent growth and a rise in demand we are seeking a competent Maintenance Engineer for their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to join an award winning Offsite Manufacturer and be a part of their continued success.

The role:

• You will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery is in working order
• You will be raising any concerns which may affect productivity
• Scheduling and undertaking planned preventative maintenance
• Working closely with the health and safety department, ensuring compliance and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures at all times
• Provide engineering support to other production departments or site services

About you:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer
• A thorough understanding of process improvement by being able to monitor and improve efficiencies within the engineering team
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing plant ensuring that repairs are carried out correctly and safely, ideally in a timber frame environment
• Experience working with CNC woodworking machinery is desirable
