About your role:

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Assistant with a positive mind set and a can-do attitude, who is willing to learn and wants to upskill, for a leading non-profit organisation at an educational facility in Bristol   

As a Facilities Maintenance Assistant you will spend the majority of your time on the one site working as the sole maintenance provider onsite. You will ensure rooms are prepared for meetings, help with furniture moves, and carry out compliance such as fire alarm testing etc. as well as completing basic building maintenance such as but not limited to, changing lights, building repairs, painting.

You will be undertaking a range of maintenance tasks on a regular basis and part of the role is repetitive maintenance works. However, this is not a mundane role. You will be working in a busy and demanding environment where undertaking work to create a positive educational environment for young adults.

About you:

  • Previous experience in a facilities/maintenance role within a commercial environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Great planning and organising skills
  • Able to prioritise and ensure tasks are done efficiently
  • Attention to detail and works accurately
  • IOSH would be highly advantageous but not essential as this is offered upon starting the role

   Due to the nature of the working environment, you will need to undertake an enhanced DBS. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle would be highly advantageous as there are 2 sites which this role covers.
