Contracts Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience Contracts Manager  to join a market leading construction company based in their office in Livingston.  This is such an exciting time to join the company as they continue to grow winning work from both new and existing clients.  The successful candidate will preferably have a trades background and fit-out and/or building/civils experience would be advantageous.

About You:

  • Trades background
  • Previous experience with either a fit-out, refurbishment or build contractor
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental safety requirements;
  • Computer literate with basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages;
  • CSCS, SMSTS
  • First Aid at Work preferred;
  • Driving license.

The Role:

  • Pre-planning of projects to ensure adequate resourcing
  • Review drawings and raise requests for further information as required
  • Produce RFI schedules
  • Work with QS to procure and engage with subcontract labour
  • Produce construction methodologies and tender programmes
  • Produce labour, plant and material forecasts
  • Ensure snagging is closed out in a timely manner
  • Supply chain engagement
