BDM / Sales Consultant - South West

We already have established and successful business development managers based in the North and the Midlands and we are now looking to add to our sales team with a Recruitment Business Development Manager based in the South West.

This individual would be targeted to approach a blend of decision makers from site managers to company owners at new companies that may require our services to supply temporary or permanent recruitment solutions.

We have an excellent reputation in delivery so a prospective BDM will be fully supported by various recruitment teams based in our Bristol office to fulfil any potential business brought on with the aim of becoming a recognised and dominant supplier to the client in the future.

The BDM’s approach will be a blend of sales calls, building site visits and head office meetings so the individual must be comfortable in both face to face and phones sales.

Our sales journey can be a real blend between 1 call resulting in a sale to a 12 months approach that may require sales presentations and the provision of case studies and the completion of in some cases in depth documentation.

Other key areas in order to fulfil the role:

• Use your knowledge, network, and experience to pro-actively create new business opportunities.

• Lead pitches and proposals, directing the team and adding knowledge and insight.

• Lead business development and marketing initiatives and activities

• Working closely with the wider team to understand current business and the Thorn Baker products and services

• Seeking and analysing feedback on the markets to develop Thorn Baker products and services to meet client needs

• Taking ownership of building and delivering the overall business development strategy

• Leading by example, supporting and coaching team members to demonstrate our core values and behaviours

Requirements:

This will be a fast paced and challenging role, so we are looking for someone who can really hit the ground running.

Ideally, you will have:

• Superior negotiating skills

• Agency New Business Experience or B2B Sales

• Demonstrable track record of delivering significant business wins

• Excellent time, planning and project management skills

• Be able to flawlessly present and communicate in both written and verbal forms

• Be resilient, detailed and creative

• Be able to successfully work on own initiative

• Be able to handle demands, targets, guidelines, and high stress situations

• Excellent networking and business acquisition skills

• Be consistent, dependable and efficient

You must be based within a one hour commute of Bristol.

You also need to have a full uk driving licence.
